Adam Taylor of ata won the ADNZ REGIONAL AWARD FOR NEW HOME BETWEEN 150M² AND 300M² for TREEFOLD
The Judges said: "Treefold is an exemplary response to its Mount Maunganui beachfront site. Its L-shaped plan steps around mature trees, nestling the home within its site. Openings are carefully calibrated to capture sun and ocean outlook while screening neighbours, and a single unifying roof plane lends quiet coherence. This is a confident, beautifully restrained design that genuinely belongs to its place."
Adam went on to win the ADNZ REGIONAL AWARD FOR RESIDENTIAL ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS with OB MAC
The Judges said: "Cleverly containing most of the programme into an extension at the first level, the resulting composition of the street elevation is surprising and elegant. Long horizontals are employed throughout the project, brought to life by colour and material arrangement. Artfully placed windows bring greenery into the composition and the experience of the interior."
